So very happy to finally share two new patterns with you as we are all tucked in and cozy during this super cold arctic blast. If you are looking for something to keep your hands busy after all the holiday craziness, here are a couple ideas.
Calm Chaos and Calm Frenzy are now available, thanks to a fabulous small army of test knitters! They all did such a fabulous job! I'm so delighted with all of the beautiful finished objects they created in the past month!
Thank you so very much, ladies! You make this all worth while!
Calm Frenzy is a richly textured slouchy hat featuring geometric stitch patterns that play together harmoniously, creating an eclectic little piece that is interesting to knit and a joy to wear, especially in the recommended yarn. I truly loved working with the Road to China Light, from the Fibre Company. It's so soft and lofty, and really looks stunning in all of these stitch patterns. It's a lovely little luxury, and I will surely use it again!
These stitch patterns create a sense of frenzy, yet when combined, they evoke a sense of calm order. This hat, and it’s name, reflect the state of mind I often find myself, as well as my life, in. Just enough going on to keep things interesting, yet somehow, a sense of order to keep things centered.
The matching cowl, Calm Chaos, uses the same stitch patterns to create a lofty, close-fitting cowl.
Not much else to say on this crazy cold day, except stay warm and find some cozy wool to snuggle!
Signing off from chilly WI, where it is currently -21 F with the wind chill at -39!
