Onward

When I first saw the Journey collection this Fall, I was really struck with the beauty of the whole collection.  Published as an ebook, individual downloads, as well as a hard copy book, it is a collaboration from Shannon Cook and Jane Richmond, and it's just so fresh.

I had to wait until after the holidays to dive in, but as soon as all of those gifts were off the needles, I cast on Onward to celebrate the new year!  I choose to work it up in Madelinetosh Tosh Merino, which is a single ply worsted weight yarn that is washable.  For me, this was the perfect choice for this project, since I knew it would get a lot of heavy use.  Here is my Forward Progress (more pics on my project page here).  Modeled on probably the only day above 15F we have had in the past 3 weeks!

I have worn this so much already, I just adore the shear size of it!  We have been having such a cold, cold winter and I feel like all I have done is hibernate in the house, but at least I have this to keep me warm!  It was a fun and interesting knit and will be cherished for years to come.   I loved it so much that I jumped right into another pattern from Shannon Cook, Antrorse.  It's moving along nice and quick and I hope to have it off the needles before the end of the weekend!

Stay warm and happy knitting!
