Etsy shop update and KAL highlights

I finally have the yarn I dyed up a few weeks ago listed in the Etsy shop at frontporchfibers.etsy.com.  I tried out a few new bases, and am so pleased with how they all dyed up.  I am quite partial to the sock yarn, as it just took the dye up in such saturated tones and is so soft with a lovely sheen.

Here's my favorite, Blueberry Patch on a silky blend of Superwash Merino and Silk.

Here's a few more, but check out the shop to see them all!

I'm also happy to announce the winners of our Brew City Knits Knit-A-Long.  Michelle, akmmom on ravelry, and Jane, Zany5Ohio on ravelry were the winners.  Michelle received a knitting themed coffee mug and a skein of Malabrigo Worsted in the Polvoriento colorway.  Jane was the recipient of a cute little sheep mug and a bar of hand made soap.

Thanks to everyone who joined in and congrats to the winners.  Watch for another KAL, perhaps this Spring!

I also wanted to take a minute to highlight one of my favorite projects that came from the KAL, these Atwater Hats from Mandy, mrsmcelrath on ravelry.

She did such a lovely job knitting them and her photos are wonderful.  Be sure to check out her blog, with sticks and strings, as she is giving away a copy of the Atwater Hat pattern to her readers.  See the blog to find out how to qualify.....but hurry, the giveaway ends on November 25th!

I hope to be back one more time before Thanksgiving to share a couple of the projects I recently finished up.

Happy Knitting to you all, and stay toasty warm if you are reading from where the cold air has hit!  I don't think we made it to 20 degrees here today.....brrrr!
