Our town traditionally holds it's Christmas parade in early November, which may seem odd, but actually, has it's perks. Take this year, for instance. We had unseasonably warm temperatures in the 60's for Saturday's parade.
We knew it couldn't last though, and last night, the bottom dropped out. We went from mid 60's yesterday to mid 20's today. Talk about a change of the weather!
This gigantic plunge in temperatures prompted me to release my Weathervane hat a bit ahead of schedule.
I originally designed this hat for my husband and sister's boyfriend, as it's hard to find a hat a guy really loves. After the first one whipped up so nice and fast, I decided to size it down for babies and kids too.
Here's my girlie sporting hers, with a pom pom, per her request!
I also spent much of October and into November working on Golden Hour, a beautiful pullover design from Suvi Simola. I ran into a couple mishaps along the way, so this one will always hold a special place in my memory. If you'd like to read more about how my little guy left his mark on my hand knit sweater, see my project page here. It was a fun knit and despite it's imperfections, it is like a dream to wear!
Last, but definitely not least, here is a sneak peek at the girl's vest pattern I will be publishing tomorrow! I am so incredibly excited about this one! It has been a lot of work and time, but so very worth it. Here's a little peek, but be sure to check back tomorrow for all the details!
